Mark Kanter graduated from the University of Southern California in 1989 with a degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance. Mark began his real estate career as an investment real estate broker with Marcus and Millichap, specializing in commercial and multi-family real estate. Since then, Mark has also been a successful active real estate investor.
In 1992, as the Southern California market began to enter a recession, Mark left Marcus and Millichap to begin specializing in property tax consulting and contesting unfair property values. Since then, Mark has been responsible for the recovery of tens of millions of dollars. Mark has continued to grow his clientele base through extremely satisfied clients, and continues to serve many reputable real estate professionals in the industry with their property taxes.
Jeff McGuire graduated from the University of Southern California, where he earned his degree in Real Estate with an emphasis in Management and Organization. Jeff is widely recognized for being the #1 Re/Max commercial agent worldwide, along with multiple other prestigious achievements while at Re/Max. Jeff has also been involved as a sales investment specialist and principal buyer for over 24 years, including his key role in over 300 transactions, totaling over $1.2 billion closed in real estate.
Jeff partnered with Mark to create Assessment Appeal Advisors, LLC to help property owners contest property unfair tax assessments. Since then, Jeff has had success representing former clients as well as many new clients, including companies listed on Forbes and all their real estate under management.

Elliott Kimmel joined Assessment Appeal Advisors in 2009 after graduating cum laude from California Lutheran University, with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Political Science. In addition to earning a degree from California Lutheran University, he also studied abroad in Graz, Austria at an international business school, with a focus on global markets, and attended LCWS in Washington D.C, working at a public relations firm.
Specializing in all real estate asset classes and legal issues, Elliott has successfully appealed over $10 billion in California and Nevada real estate tax assessments and has earned a reputation as an outstanding tax agent. Elliott prides himself with providing the same quality service to "mom and pop" owners as he does to large portfolio managers. Elliott has also been a licensed real estate broker in California since 2016.

Rudy Ramirez joined Assessment Appeal Advisors in 2017 after graduating from California State University, Northridge, earning a degree in Finance with a minor in Real Estate. Since obtaining his undergraduate degree, Rudy has obtained his California real estate broker license and is in the midst of completing his legal education at UCLA School of Law.
Rudy has successfully assisted real estate developers, investors and home owners in reducing the assessed values of their properties throughout various regions and sub-markets of Southern California. Through scrutinized market research and analysis, Rudy has assisted property owners who were unaware that their properties were being unfairly over-assessed.
