Assessment Appeal Advisors, LLC is headquartered in Agoura Hills, CA and specializes in contesting unfair property assessments in order to reduce our client's property tax installments for as long as we can provide our efforts. Our firm works directly with the County Assessor and the Assessment Appeals Board for which the property is located at in order to ensure your property is assessed fairly. Our experience and knowledge results into different ways our firm can create the problems regarding your assessments into solutions that will assist you in obtaining savings.

Since 1992, our efforts have been responsible for obtaining millions of dollars in property tax refunds to real estate owners. Our staff has an extremely high level of success and is experienced with appealing all property types throughout all counties within Southern California. We work and represent all type of property owners and real estate investors, from families and their primary residences, to local real estate developers, as well as corporations listed on Forbes' "America's Largest Private Companies", all while providing the same uniform quality of service and consideration to all clients.

Mark Kanter

Founder

Mark Kanter graduated from the University of Southern California in 1989 with a degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance. Mark began his real estate career as an investment real estate broker with Marcus and Millichap, specializing in commercial and multi-family real estate. Since then, Mark has also been a successful active real estate investor.

In 1992, as the Southern California market began to enter a recession, Mark left Marcus and Millichap to begin specializing in property tax consulting and contesting unfair property values. Since then, Mark has been responsible for the recovery of tens of millions of dollars. Mark has continued to grow his clientele base through extremely satisfied clients, and continues to serve many reputable real estate professionals in the industry with their property taxes.

Jeff McGuire

Founder

Jeff McGuire graduated from the University of Southern California, where he earned his degree in Real Estate with an emphasis in Management and Organization. Jeff is widely recognized for being the #1 Re/Max commercial agent worldwide, along with multiple other prestigious achievements while at Re/Max. Jeff has also been involved as a sales investment specialist and principal buyer for over 24 years, including his key role in over 300 transactions, totaling over $1.2 billion closed in real estate.

Jeff partnered with Mark to create Assessment Appeal Advisors, LLC to help property owners contest property unfair tax assessments. Since then, Jeff has had success representing former clients as well as many new clients, including companies listed on Forbes and all their real estate under management.

Elliott Kimmel

Elliott joined Assessment Appeal Advisors in 2009 after graduating cum laude from California Lutheran University, with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Political Science. In addition to earning a degree from California Lutheran University, he also studied abroad in Graz, Austria at an international business school, with a focus on global markets, and attended LCWS in Washington D.C, working at a public relations firm.

Specializing in all real estate asset classes and legal issues, Elliott has successfully appealed thousands of properties in California and Nevada. He has earned a reputation as an outstanding tax agent. Elliott prides himself with providing the same quality service to "mom and pop" owners as he does to large portfolio owners. Elliott has been a licensed real estate broker in California since 2016 and is a registered Tax Agent.

Pierre Amado

Pierre joined Assessment Appeal Advisors in 1993 and a has been a property tax expert for decades. Pierre graduated from California State University, Northridge, earning a degree in real estate finance.

Pierre has focused his career on achieving property tax reductions and refunds. He has a unique expertise with how the Assessment Appeals Board, Assessor's Office, Auditor Controller, and the Board of Equalization work that has benefited clients in obtaining the correct and full refunds.

In addition to his extensive experience he has a CA real estate license and assists with conventional financing for multifamily properties throughout CA.

Bryce has successfully assisted thousands of real estate developers, investors and home owners in reducing the assessed values of their properties throughout various regions and sub-markets throughout California. Through scrutinized market research and analysis, Bryce has assisted property owners who were unaware that their properties were being unfairly over-assessed. Bryce has been able to achieve permanent tax savings on his clients’ personal and investment properties.

Ryan attended Cal Lutheran University and graduated with a major in Business Administration, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He also played on the Kingsman football team throughout his time at CLU.

Trilingual (English, Spanish, Hebrew), Jonah attended USC and graduated with a degree in finance and communications. While at USC he was a member of AEPi.

At AAA he handles "major properties" and assists clients with appealing their property taxes. Jonah brings an in depth knowledge into complicated commercial and multifamily properties. He also is an expert in unsecured tax bills, such as vessels and aircraft.

Dante joined Assessment Appeal Advisors in 2023.

Dante Kargodorian graduated with honors from Indiana University in 2021 with a degree in finance and communications. During his time at Indiana University, he acted as the Recruitment and Social Chair for the Delta Chi Fraternity in addition to being the Treasurer of the Hoosier Investments Club.

At AAA, he supports clients with property tax appeals, providing them with accurate and timely information, analysis, and advice. He also leverages his experience in the real estate and mortgage lending industries to get the best results for his clients on all asset types. He prides himself on having a deeper understanding of real estate mechanics in underwriting which yields meaningful reductions for his clients.

Additionally, Dante is a cancer survivor that is passionate about philanthropy in his free time; participating in fundraising activities for Challenged Athletes Foundation and the V Foundation. He enjoys spending much of his time giving back to the communities he is most passionate about and eager to help others in any way he can.

Bilingual (English and Hebrew), Joey's background is in commercial and multifamily real estate. He holds a CA real estate license. Before joining AAA, he sold apartments throughout Los Angeles. He has helped clients navigate through their 1031 exchange process while also negotiating several large office leasing transactions.
